Adding Extentions to Steam Client

Steam Uses a Version of Chromium to Display Its Content

So, that must mean extensions can run on it… right?

Yes! and Here Is How.

First, navigate to any Steam store page with a link (like the publishers name). Right-click and select "Open link in new tab".

From here we will paste in the link to the Chrome Web Store for the extensions that we want, in this example we will install AI warning for Steam, SteamDB, and HLTB for Steam.

If you are on a Linux based system, you might also want ProtonDB to see if a game runs under Proton on Linux, and its rating!

In my example it shows "Remove from Chrome", for you it should say "Add to Chrome", when you click the link you will get a file browser. Navigate to a folder to put the extension, it will download. For me, I made a new folder in my documents directory. Once saved a new Chromium window will open, you can close this and move onto whatever other ones you want to add.

Open link in new tab
Extenstion page
Downloading the extention file

After you finish downloading the extention, it will open a new Chromium window, you can just close this and go install the next extension you want. After you are all done you can close all the browser windows.
