Adding ROMs to Steam (Yuzu)

Due to Nintendo's retardedness, Yuzu has been taken down. However, Yuzu was open source so expect new versions to popup. I will update this guide in the future when a new Switch emulator is released and in a working condition.

This tutorial will be mostly for Yuzu, however will work with other emulators and games too

So, you want to add your ROMs to steam do you?

To start off we need to head over to the Steam Library, and at the bottom lets click "ADD A GAME" and from the drop down select "Add a Non-Steam Game"

Adding a Non-Steam Game

From the list, find the program you want to add, in this case we want to add the Yuzu Emulator, so scroll to the bottom of the list, select "yuzu Maintenance Tool" and click "ADD SELECTED PROGRAMS"

Selecting, and Adding the Program

Right click on the newly added program, and select Properties. Set the name to the name of your game, in this this example I will set it to Luigi's Mansion 3. Next, select "Browse...". We need to tell it to launch Yuzu, instead of the Maintence Tool. Open the "yuzu-windows-msvc" folder and select the Yuzu EXE file and click open. Finally we need to add the Launch Options to tell Yuzu what to do when you click "Play". In the Launch Options add this line of code

-f -g "C:your_rom_foldergame.nsp"

Set the path to the game, and also make sure everything is spelt correctly.

Now lets make it look like a real Steam Game. We will be adding custom game art. If you need some look in my Discord Server Here. Right click on the Library page and select "Set Custom Logo", then browse to your games logo and add it. Do the same thing for the Background, and move the logo to where it fits best for you!

For the final bit we will add a custom box art, go to the Steam Library Home, right click on the game, and under Manage select "Set Custom Artwork". Select your box art and you are good to go!
