Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Yuzu Multiplayer Setup Guide

Due to Nintendo's retardedness, Yuzu has been taken down. However, Yuzu was open source so expect new versions to popup. I will update this guide in the future when a new Switch emulator is released and in a working condition.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

So, you want to play Mario Kart 8 with us? Well you are going to need a few things first. If you don't already download and install Yuzu Nintendo Switch Emulator. Next in the RAR file extract the "MK8D.xci" to a folder of your choice, then open Yuzu. If the game is not already there, click Add New Game Directory and browse to where you extracted the XCI file. Now we need to install the Updates, and DLC.

Adding a New Game Directory

Head to File>Install Files to NAND, navigate to where you extracted the files and select "sxs-mk8u_v983040.nsp" and click open, then install. Once that finishes repeat the process but this time select the "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe [DLC Booster Course Pass] [0100152000023001][v65536].nsp" and install that.

Next we have to add some Mii's to Yuzu so Mario Kart does not hang upon launch. Head over to File>Open yuzu Folder, then open the nand folder. Next open the "bis.rar" and drag over the System and User files into the nand folder, replace if promoted.

Lastly we have to set up the network, to do so head to Emulation>Configure in Yuzu. Go to System>Network and under Network Interface change it to either Ethernet, or WiFi depending on what you are using. Then connect to the multiplayer session using the credentials given.

Opening the Configuration Menu
Settign up the Network Interface

There, now you are ready to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!
