EUP Badge Creation - Blender

Alright, after you have your SVG file it's time to import it into Blender. Go to File>Import>Scalable Vector Graphic (.svg) and import your SVG file. It should be added as a Curve like seen below.

SVG Import

Next you want to scale and move your badge to the proper location. There are 2 ways of knowing what the right size is, one would be to export a default EUP badge to OBJ and to import into Blender, or to import the Scaling Badge from EUP Badge DEV Kit. I am going to use the Scaling Badge. Select your Curve and press S on your keyboard to start scaling, you can also press G to move your curve and make sure it looks right and make sure it is the size you want.

Now we want to convert the Curve to a Mesh and enter Edit mode to Extrude the badge to give it the 3D look. Select your Curve again and right click on it and select Convert To>Mesh. Once your Curve is a Mesh we can enter Edit mode to extrude it. At the top left click on the Object Mode drop down and click Edit Mode. You should now see a lot of black dots, these are the vertices, around the edge of your badge. Press A on your keyboard, and click Select All Toggle to select all these vertices. Once they have turned orange they are selected, press E on your keyboard to start extruding the vertices to your desired length. Once again I am going to use the Scaling Badge to make sure I have the right depth, next you might want to press S on your keyboard to scale the extruded faces down a little bit to give the "Badge look".

After you have finished the above steps it is time to export to OBJ and import into ZMod! Select File>Export>Wavefront (.obj) name the object and click Export. Now it's time to move over to ZMod
