Fixing Broken Emergency Lights

Don't you hate it when you add a new emergency car you want to use and the lights are as big as the car for some reason? Me too, lucky for you the model is not broken! I will teach you how to fix it.

Siren ID's

GTA V uses an ID system to differentiate between each different siren settings, the siren settings are set in carcols.meta files and are grabbed for the model in the carvariations.meta. The ID's in each of these files have to match, and not be the same as another model, if it is a vehicle pack the IDs might be the same due to the siren settings being the same.

You might want to get the SirenLimitAdjuster script That can be found on This LCPDFR page

To locate the siren ID in the carvariations scroll to the bottom and look for , and in the carcols look for the node and the inside it

The siren ID's

You want to change these IDs to a different number, I like to use 4-6 long numbers and keep them even. Sometime it will take multiple changes of the number to finally get one that works, others it will only take a single number change. SirenLimitAdjuster allows for more bigger numbers that the default game cannot handle. After you have changed the number restart the vehicle resource, you do not need to restart the server or your game for this change to take effect (Unlike texture changes like liveries that require a game restart). Test your lights a see if they are fixed, if not pick another random set of numbers and try again.

Updated siren ID's

And that's it, enjoy your working emergency lights!
